Virtual human technology is a new technology. It's mainly used in the designing and testing process of digital product. With the use of virtual human technology,it can reduce the time and money immensely.Establishing the Virtual human shoulders model is the aim of this paper, because shouder model is the foundation that virtual people have the ability of work, the shoulder model's movement will move the yirtual hand to the location specified for grabing virtual object and virtual tool.In the first part of this paper,it analyse the struction of bones and the moving character of bones. Then, buiding the shouder model in accordance with the standards for Chinese size body size GB1000-1988 standard. In the second part of this paper,it builds a shoulder model with eight DOF.Then, build the kinematics equation and study the kinematic characteristics. It includs the building of kinematics equation;the influence of the kinematics equation with changing the different serial order of eight rotation vice;the relationship of the intersection angle of jionts with the moving situation of the shouder. In the third part of this paper,it is the simulation. It uses ADAMS and Matlab studying the upper arm's motion of raising. Comparing the results of the two differrant matheds, find that the two profiles are almost same.It means the shouder model is right and the kinematics equation is right too.In the last part of this paper,it proposes the idea of establishing the coupling formula of shouder moder.it means research the relation between the angles. It is very usefull for the controling of the shouder model of the virtual human when the coupling formula is sured. At this moment, the study is going on.
