With the rapid development of automotive electronic technology and network technology, cars are gradually moving towards network development process. A variety of automotive bus makes a lot of electronic control units connected and worked coordinately. In the master buses of automotive Multimedia systems. MOST network is increasingly focused by foreign automobile manufacturers with its advantages of high-speed, data throughput, immunity, transmission data format diversity. Recently, a large number of high-grade cars already apply and popularize the MOST networks. Developing more than ten years. Bluetooth technology established domination of the short-range wireless communications with its flexible networking, low cost, small size, low radiation, high security, and applied frequently. A lot of Bluetooth devices appeared in the car, such as the Bluetooth voice recognition controller. Bluetooth cell phones, car navigation, car kit, etc. Some of these devices are automotive embedded products; the others are essential communication tools of life. They are related to people's daily life. Therefore. combining the Bluetooth products and car multimedia system to apply together, we do not only simplified procedure of the vehicle equipment and improve driving safety.This project carried out around the joint application of the above-mentioned idea, for Bluetooth voice recognition controller, we design the Bluetooth/MOST Gateway. During driving, the driver does not need to hand off the wheel and can control the car multimedia system (DVD, radio) using voice. The control mechanism is that the Bluetooth voice recognition controller receive the human voice commands.applying speech recognition technology, recognize voice command and transfer the command data to the Bluetooth/MOST Gateway via Bluetooth wireless.then the gateway convert the Bluetooth format data into the MOST network format data, enabling the operation of media devices. The development work of Bluetooth/MOST Gateway has been done as follows:1. First of all, studied the core protocol and application profiles of the Bluetooth network and MOST network, analyzed two network's data format and transmission principle, determined the feasibility and functional requirements of Bluetooth/MOST gateways, then applied the development board to demonstrate these functions. 2. Looked up related products and information of Bluetooth techology and MOST network, analyzed the product's design principles, combined with the gateway of current application to this two networks, showed the gateway design model, established a Bluetooth/MOST Gateway theoretical model.3. Based on the theoretical model of Bluetooth/MOST Gateway, combined with the existing conditions of laboratory products and other network gateway design, according to system requirements analysis, designed each part of the gateway modules, function and application profiles, developed data transfer protocols of these networks.4. After determined the overall structure of Bluetooth/MOST Gateway, designed and extended circuits of the different of modules according to hardware design principle of the development board, include smallest circuits, memory, power circuit and so on, finally completed the hardware design. Analyzed the system software running mechanism. Used the application profiles of these networks, designed the software architecture and program the code for the function of the gateway.5. All modules of the hardware and software are designed completely. Test methods according to the way of separation. Include testing the circuits of hardware and debugging the software. At last, realized the function of the modules.6. Through establishing the Bluetooth piconet and two nodes of the MOST network, analyzed the data transmitted over the network. Then verify the integrity of the gateway. Ultimately, realized the Bluetooth/MOST Gateway function.Due to time constraints, the project only achieved basic functions of the Bluetooth/MOST gateway, some idea were not implemented yet. This gateway only applies with Bluetooth voice controller. It limits the extension of application. I think that we should increase the function of Bluetooth/MOST Gateway, and connect a Bluetooth cell phone with the MOST network. It greatly broadens the application areas of this gateway and improves domestic competitiveness of automotive electronics products.
