Design And Implementation Of Metadata Registration Management System Based On J2EE

At present, many research institutions have the problems that metadata define confusedly, metadata is not standard and metadata format is incompatible, thus starting from national level, construct reasonably classified and comprehensively covered technical resource metadata system, so as to establish standard and rational metadata register management system. It can provide effective help to the standardization of technology platform, and provide a powerful promotion to the process of national standardization construction.Metadata registration and management system controls register, approval and management of metadata, and standardizes report and audit of metadata so as to ensure its quality, Meanwhile we design the metadata structure sufficiently, in order to extend the function more conveniently in future. The implementation of metadata registry management system use J2EE framework integrating with Struts, Spring and Hibernate as the background development process, while using Ajax, Div and CSS to complete the front interface development, and build the complete security system based on Spring Security Framework.Metadata Registry Management System contains the following functions:1. Metadata register and modify. Users can submit metadata to the system and modify the registered metadata.2. Metadata audit. Auditor takes a preliminary examination of format and content to metadata submitted by user, and determines whether it is approved.3. Expert review. System creates vote for the metadata that have finished the preliminary examination, and experts review metadata by vote.4. Metadata management. System manages state of metadata, creates vote for the metadata, and determines whether metadata are approved on the basis of the vote results of experts5. User management. System can add new users, modify existing users, change user permissions, enable or disable a user.
