With the growing number of modern buildings, fire hazards are increasing continuously. In recent years, with the increasing ratio of electrical fire, electrical fire has badly threatened people's life and property security. Leakage fire alarming and monitoring system can detect electrical fire hazards in time, which plays a vital role in modern intelligent building. Therefore, it should be promoted as an indispensable device of modern building.A leakage fire alarming and monitoring system based onμC/OS-Ⅱis designed in this paper. It detects leaking current and temperature, which often cause electric fire. The system uses high sensitive detectors to test and upload data to monitor, which could realize centralized management and real-time display. Thus it can monitor anomalies and faults of electrical lines at any time, so as to discover the hidden danger in time.Firstly, the paper proposes an available system design on the basis of subject background investigation and a lot of domestic and foreign fire-alarm technical data. The leakage fire alarming and monitoring system is designed as a hierarchical distributed intelligent centralized control system. The regional fire monitor in the upper structure plays the role of centralized management, real-time display and alerting. The regional fire detectors in the lower structure deal with parameter values from various sensors and upload to the monitor. The communication between monitor and detectors is through RS-485 bus.Secondly, based on overall planning, the detectors and monitor's hardware design, software design and communication network design are detailedly introduced in this paper. The hardware and software adopt modular design to ensure the hierarchy is clear, the system is portable and maintainable. The monitor uses high speed 32-bit microcontroller LPC2132 as the core module and usesμC/OS-Ⅱas the software development platform to ensure the system is real-time. In addition, the paper designs a kind of communication protocol for RS-485 bus based on analysis of ModBus protocol in this system.Finally, the real-time performance and reliability about the whole system are tested. The results show that the system can meet the national requirements. Then the paper summarizes the work done and outlooks for the next work.
