The network performance monitoring and analysis which is considered to be one of the major tasks of network management is significantly important in increasing network speed and overcoming network bottlenecks. In this paper, an improved collection and analysis of network performance system is designed and implemented using the SNMP network management model after an intensive study of performance acquisition and predictive analysis.This paper firstly introduces the related theory of network management and SNMP system, based on which the main frame and hierarchical model of the collection and analysis of network performance system is designed. Then the performance collection and predictive analysis method is investigated deeply. Aiming at the localization of the traditional collection polling policy, a dynamic time interval collection method is designed and implemented to improve the efficiency and accuracy of data collection in this paper. After a research of the network flow analysis model, time series auto regression moving average model is adopted in predictive analysis the network performance index parameters. By analyzing the limitation of traditional fixed threshold alarming in the Performance analysis alarming mechanism, a dynamic threshold alarming mechanism is designed and implemented.
