In the process of integration geological studies, people who study the geological need to collect and use large amounts of data, and then draw a large number of geological maps based on these data. Traditional way is to make them by hand, usually has the advantages of poor accuracy, long cycle and heavy repetition workload. Leading to actual oil exploration demand and production of maps is difficult to synchronize. This is becoming the bottleneck of geological research. This paper studies the standards of Log Maps drawing and specifications of Log Maps settling, investigates the status of Log Maps using, communicates with users exhaustively, completes the system function and performance requirements analysis, analyses the role of different users, and uses Unified Modeling Language(UML) to model the system. Completes the system summary design, detailed design and database design, including system architecture choose, system function structure and various detailed function design, graphics classes and various map-channels'data structure design. Achieves the drawing functions of variety map-channels, shows the system's implementation process and results. Finally, in strict accordance with test requirements of software engineering, thoroughly tested the system, the results show that the system function and performance meet the design requirements and customer needs. The system displays graphics beautifully and operates easily, sets up picture board quickly using template mode. It combines with the data source and template, offers variety ways of data loading, facilitates the data source configuration management. Explanatory map-channels are complete, data processing is complete, resulting data is intactly. It provides a great convenience for oil exploration, improves efficiency of oil geological exploration staff, further advances the digital oilfield construction and oilfield information development.
