VHF radar has great advantages in anti-stealth. But VHF radar has disadvantages, such as wide beam width, low precision and low resolution. Especially in elevation dimension, the ability of height measurement precision of VHF radar is poor because of multi-path reflection. The thesis focuses on implementation of height measurement and its data analysis in VHF radar. At the beginning, the chapter will review the basic principle of beam split, maximum likelihood. Then comprehensive utilize above two algorithms that is utilize beam split in low-angle area and maximum likelihood in high-angle area. Next realize the algorithms in high-performance DSP platform (TS201). In the end, the thesis will analyze the data collected during the field experiment, design the program using MATLAB for data analysis, analyze the measurement error and way to decrease the inaccuracy.
