Research and development of the automotive anti-collision radar is an effective way to solve the increasing car traffic accidents, domestic automotive anti-collision radar development is still in the theoretical research and experimental commissioning stage. Signal processing system is the core and technical difficulty of anti-collision radar system, its in-depth research and development has far-reaching significance.Considering the actual engineering project, this paper introduces the working principle of STW(Saw Tooth Wave) FMCW automotive anti-collision radar signal processing system and the technology for realizing it as well as giving the system debugging and field experimental results. From the aspect of theory analysis, the STW FMCW signal processing principle and Distance - Doppler processing method is focused; From the aspect of engineering realization ways, The FPGA + DSP signal processing system architecture is described in detail, and the technical parameters of main components of the hardware system and selection criteria are analyzed. In addition, the signal integrity of critical circuit was simulated using the complete Cadence software and hardware circuit diagram PCB. Because FPGA and DSP software design is the key of signal processing system software design, based on their different functional division, FPGA main modules and the DSP key algorithm program are respectively introduced, and the FPGA timing simulation and DSP algorithm simulation are completed. The hardware and software debugging of signal processing system and field experiments is an important work of the engineering project, therefore, the system debugging process and results are analyzed in this paper and the main conclusions of field experiments are described.
