Ultrasonic non-destructive inspection was widely used in products all-sided quality control. With the development of industrial ultrasonic non-destructive inspection system, high efficiency ultrasonic inspection system is the key issues for ultrasonic inspection in recent years. Combined with the actual requirement in the ultrasonic automated inspection, some key techniques and algorithms in relation to ultrasonic measurement are to be solved. Expect that, the improvement of image processing performance and A-wave data compression are carried out in-depth study. In chapter 1, the background of the research work and important significance of the dissertation were discussed, the status of research on the ultrasonic inspection system was introduced. The realization blue print of the ultrasonic automated inspection system and detailed research contents of the dissertation were given. In chapter 2, according to the basic principles of ultrasonic inspection, The composition of ultrasonic acquisition system was described. The classification and testing methods of ultrasonic inspection were introduced. The basic process of three-dimensional ultrasound imaging was introduced to explain the image processing method for three-dimensional ultrasound imaging. In chapter 3, the content and general methods of image processing were discussed to describe the general image processing of ultrasonic inspection. The principle of visual system was introduced to discuss the Image Denoising Via Learned Dictionaries and Sparse representation. The result of the image processing methods was analyzed and compared with others. In chapter 4, the problem of A-wave data compression were studied. A-wave data was disassembled into features such as wave slope, wave form and wave gap. On this basis an A-wave data compression algorithm based on these features and delta encode was presented. In chapter 5, the dissertation was summarized, and the possible research in future is presented.
