Medical B-ultrasonic equipment has been widely used in major hospitals for its non-injury, high sensitivity characteristic. In recent years, with the development of computer electronics technology, traditional B-device gradually the portable direction of development, B ultrasound diagnosis process involves a large number of image processing operations so that the embedded portable devices often do not achieve the desired result. However, the appearance of specializing digital signal processing DSP chips makes complex image processing algorithms on embedded portable devices as possible.In this paper, the problem of insufficient computing power of traditional embedded system, ultrasound images as research object, on one hand, the ultrasound image data acquisition, and on the other hand, based on the SEED-DEC6416DSP platform implementation and optimization of ultrasound image processing algorithms. The main contents are as follows:1) Ultrasonic image data acquisition. According to the system specific requirements to achieve ultrasonic front-end data acquisition module, ultrasound image data acquisition and storage based on existing hardware.2) The embedded system platform. Completed ultrasound front-end with SEED-DEC6416DSP platform seamlessly connected, combined EMIF interface and EDMA technology to achieve high-speed transmission of data between the two.3) Ultrasound image processing algorithms and optimization. DSP platform to achieve the ultrasound image reconstruction and de-noising algorithm, combined with specific hardware features, through the use of high-speed the Cache, double buffering, pipelining parallel execution of algorithms optimized and improved to ensure the real-time nature of the system.The experimental results show that the ultrasonic image processing system based on SEED-DEC6416DSP platform achieve the efficient completion of the ultrasound image processing more complex image processing algorithms to achieve a similar effect with traditional B-device. However, relative to the traditional B ultrasound equipment, this device is more portability and miniaturization and becomes more competitive, because this device costs only60%of traditional equipment.
