The Study Of Plant 3D Information Acquisition

Three Dimensional (3D) information acquisition has numerous applications in many areas. It is one of the research focuses in information technology. And 3D information acquisition of Plant is applications of computer graphics and image processing in virtual plant area. Based on 863 Project "3D information acquisition of Plant and virtual growth modeling technology on the basis of entity", we research in detail at point-clouds acquisition of plant as well as data processing, and more, we have designed a metrical system of plant 3D information. This thesis contributes a lot as follows:1,To make use of a scanner named "data collecting and processing system of plant 3D information" and a rotating table, we research in detail how to get complete point-clouds of plant. And 3D information acquisition of Plant becomes easier and faster.2,We also contrive a registration method for combine point-clouds of plant, resolve the problem that point-clouds registration accuracy is not very satisfying.3,we have designed a metrical system of plant 3D information to make use of Interactive Data Language (IDL). This system has many functions and can measure many 3D parameters of plant.
