This thesis is focusing on the design and implementation of shortwave signal generator and shortwave multi-channel parallel receiving platform. The shortwave signal generator, as a powerful debugging tool for multi-channel parallel receiving platform, is used to generate several types of signals, which can not be generated by laboratory equipments, such as FH (Frequency Hopping) signals etc. The SDR-based shortwave multi-channel parallel receiving platform features functional variety and flexibility, especially the very high performance to cost ratio. The work finished in this paper is an important part of a large-scale key project undertaken by the lab the author works with.The main work and achievements are summarized as follows:1. Software system is developed for shortwave signal generator. Based on the determination of hardware debugging scheme, the debugging process of the shortwave signal generator is completed. Test results have proved the validity and performance of the generator, which, as the system design required, can successfully generate many types of special signals including FH signals, besides frequently used conventional signals.2. The design and implementation of shortwave multi-channel parallel receiving platform hardware system is completed. Firstly, a hardware frame is designed according to the system requirements and then various concrete functional modules are designed. After that PCB design and hardware debugging are completed.3. Software system is developed for shortwave multi-channel parallel receiving platform. Firstly, according to the hardware frame, a hierarchical architecture of the software system is adopted and designed. And then a design and implementation of both bottom-layer system software and top-layer application program is completed. Secondly, system test is completed with Agilent signal generator, and the results indicate that the system has achieved the demand of the design. So far now many application software achievements developed by our team are running and implemented upon the platform successfully.4. Finally a comprehensive debugging and test including signal sending and receiving based on the signal generator and the WinRadio-front-end-based multi-channel parallel receiving platform provided in this paper is completed. The application test is implemented both with laboratory signals and practical signals provided by application units. Test results proved the feasibility and performance superiority of the whole system which shows us a bright future in the application fields.
