The traditional OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) protocol has the problem that when a router restarts, it will be removed from the network topology, which forms a "black hole" in the network. The "black hole" may cause the data forwarding interruption. To solve the problem of "black hole", this paper studies the OSPF GR (Graceful Restart) based on distributed double control device. During the control board is restarting, its neighbors mask its state change for the outside and help it to establish the full state neighborhood. The interface board maintains the stable FIB (forwarding information board) so that the data forwarding is not influenced by the restart event and the non stop forwarding is realized. With the promotion and application of GR, NSR and other reliability technologies, energy consumption and low energy efficiency on the network become more and more serious. In order to save energy, the links which satisfy certain conditions can be shut down. This paper proposes a new energy-saving algorithm based on the previous work. The main contributions of this paper are as follows:1. Analyze the OSPF GR protocol, and design the process of the OSPF GR based on the distributed double control device.2. Realize the OSPF GR technology on the H3C COMMWARE platform, and test the GR function on the router of S5800, S6800M and etc.3. For the deficiency of GR, the NSR (non stop routing) solution is suggested, and the comparison between GR and NSR is given.4. The EAR (energy aware routing) algorithm is studied and a new energy saving algorithm based on the JIESHU of link is proposed, which is simple for realization. The simulation shows that the new algorithm presents a better effect on energy saving than that of EAR.
