Research In Control Panel Interface And Driver Of High-performance Plotter

The high-performance plotter is one of the main output devices today, its performance and functionality is being greatly developed with the increasing printing demand of large format photo, inkjet, banner. The communication interface between the plotter control panel and the plotter client is an important part to control the plotter and to transfer plotter data stream. In this thesis, a new design method is proposed for plotter control interface and related driver.The related hardware and implementation profile of the plotter control panel interface as well as the developing process of plotter driver in Windows XP are presented, and the interface expansion method of the plotter is also described in detail in this thesis.The print architecture of Windows XP and the driver architecture of the plotter driver are analyzed to present related driver development method of Windows XP in this thesis, and the protocol of network interface and USB interface is also studied. In the mean while, the firmware of the hardware board is implemented in company with the design and development of the Windows driver, and at last the task of transferring control information and data flow of plotter through multiple interfaces are completed.
