The Design And Implementation Of The Management Information System Of The Military Officer Personal Files

With the development of the information technology,the application of Management Information System(MIS)in personnel files management is becoming more and more widespread. In this paper, the basic technology of MIS are depicted, and the personnel MIS is analyzed using structured analysis method, which including investigation and analysis of organization structure, managing operation flow, requirement of users, etc. The logical model of the new system is put forward based on the analytical result. The design of the conceptual and logical structure of the system database is achieved based on system analysis related with database theory and the practical situation of the Personnel Administrative Department.Using the method of structure design, the system design is carried on and the physical model of the system is present. The Microsoft SQL Server 2000 which is a RDBMS based on the Windows is selected as the software platform of the system, and C/S mode and VB are selected as developing tool .The whole system is implemented in this paper which includes seven functional modules——personnel archives management, departmental management, daily assessment, personnel changes, decision-making information, archives statistics, and education and training. The office efficiency of Personnel Archives Department can be improved effectively with the assistance of this system, which is also being an elementary work for Promoting the administrative level for the army.
