Data Center is the central component of Compute Network, it deploys and runs a variety of network devices and applications. With the rapid growth of Computer Network, Data Center Management has become an increasingly important issue. Data Center Management realized the network management in almost all key functions. It is a typical Network Management application. The Data Center Infrastructure that is composed of a variety of network equipments and hardwares working as a physical platform of the Data Center operation is required be solved with priority. Fortunately, the infrastructure management system can help technicians to manage massive network equipments in Data Centers effectively, and integrate them as a whole system which will help improving data center performance. Additionally, by collecting and analyzing data it's also easier to find potential problems and improve the reliability of data center operations and safety for the network applications.Based on the analysis of various network management applications and SNMP in details, and with the help of data center infrastructure management, a management service for Data Center infrastructure can be achieved. It also provides database access middleware, reporting engine, event triggers, notification services and other auxiliary service modules, which forms a more comprehensive management system. The main contribution and innovation are as follows:First, it meets the requirement for an efficient Data Center Infrastructure management, and makes a great contribution to build a targeted SNMP Data Center Infrastructure management services.Second, based on the analysis and comparison of the existing network topology discovery algorithm, it proposes an improved SNMP-based network topology discovery algorithm to realize the network layer and data link layer topology discovery, which can support dumb devices and form the whole network structure of Data Center. Meanwhile, combining the connected data of patch panels from iPatch? system it completes the network management of data center, and realize the constant monitoring for the connection status between the devices in the Data Center infrastructure.Third, it comprehensively analyzes a variety of public and private MIB information of network devices, implements filtering, analysis, processing and handling of different MIB data, and addresses the unified management of heterogeneous devices in a Data Center.Forth, it designs and implements a distributed interconnected system based on SOA. The system uses WCF technology to build the main functions within the system service, which will provide of parallel computing capacity, increase system load, address massive data processing problems of the data center, moreover, help to be integrated with other systems.
