The development of Internet has produced an important influence on the form of education, With which, the tutor system basing on the B/S also arises. The tutor platform is a kind of information exchanging platform which is established on the basis of the Internet and also provides the Internet users with services. Whether the parents and the students seeking tutors or the students and the teachers as the tutors are able to exchange information through this platform. Any Web users can check, search, release the information on tutors and also share the resources on tutors. This is a kind of completely different service platform from the traditional ones.After a full understanding with the needs of both tutor providers and demanders according to actual situation of Dalian district, the author of this article gives a detailed analysis and designs a network tutor platform. On one hand, this platform will provide rich information resources to those teachers who intend to engage in the tutors, especially to the college students. On the other hand, it will play an active role on the easy realization of those students and various people who want to improve their own knowledge and ability levels through such a media.Basing on the analysis of the related technical characteristics of ASP, this article discusses the B/S structure and the application way of ASP in the process of web system development, and carries on introduction to the web server IIS of the system. The platform adopts the ADO technique to realize the interview of database, builds up the total frame and the function structure of the platform through the analyses of users' needs, discusses in detail each module related to the tutors platform, analyses completely and designs according to the function requirement of each module, and thus it will become a reality that the platform functions properly. Finally the article makes a summary of the platform developing process, put forward the development and meanwhile makes an outlook of the developing direction of the tutor platform in the future. This system design has operated well through the IIS test after being completed. The result shows that the system can be used in network environment.
