With the development of science and technology, A new type of wireless sensor networks (WSN) has been appeared. It composed by a large number of sensor nodes, the node has multifunction such as information collection, data processing and wireless communication. Each node processing the Environmental information and by mutual cooperation, then send the information to the control center. In this process, need to consume energy. However the wireless sensor nodes has limited energy, And generally be deployed in harsh environments, To the recharge or replacement the node battery is not feasible. Wireless sensor network designers face the big challenges that how to improve energy efficiency. Consider that the main energy consumption of sensor nodes on data transmission. It will be reduce energy consumption if able to reduce the data traffic. In addition, because the nodes almost randomly distributed, The data collected have time and spatial correlation, it will save energy if we can remove redundant data, And extend the lifecycle of sensor networks is the main goal of network designers.Perform the data process in WSN have great significant. The lifting algorithm in wavelet transformation is introduced for data compression. The algorithm overcomes such disadvantages of the traditional wavelet transformation as heavy calculation and time-consuming. To change the malpractice that the existing mechanisms do not consideration for the time pertinence in data, proposes a new data transmission mechanism--Difference Mechanism. It removes the redundant data from its source, decreases the data needed for transmission. The simulation result shows that the lifting algorithm and difference mechanism can eliminate the redundant data in WSN efficiently. It greatly decreases the energy consuming and prolongs the lifecycle of WSN. Furthermore, based on the clustering algorithm in the wireless sensor network, cluster heads consume more energy than the members. In order to share the burden of the cluster head, the assistant cluster heads were generated by the corresponding node of the cluster members was considered, and it has great help for decreasing the cluster heads'energy consume. A new assistant cluster head (ASCH) algorithm was proposed. Whether to generate the ASCH is dynamically decided by the own condition of the cluster head, then choosing the appropriate member node to be ASCH. The simulation results show that compared with the LEACH algorithm, the proposed algorithm has more balanced energy consumption, decreases the energy consumption effectively, and prolongs the WSN's lifecycle.
