Virtual test technique of ship structure strength is based on virtual test technique and ship structure theory. Its purpose is using advanced computer virtual programmer method to simulate ship navigation and ship structure dynamical response in different ocean condition.In this paper, the key technology of ship structure strength virtual test technique has been studied, the major works are as fellows:1)the OpenGL visualization technology which the paper uses was discussed; take this as the foundation, the approach of stimulation of virtual sea condition, virtual ship modeling and virtual ship motion were studied; the virtual ships navigation under the random ocean waves has been realized;2)the transient analysis method computation and simulates the real ship structure response was used; And a auto-load approach of time-dimension wave load was given ;3)under the MFC program frame and the OpenGL language. The systemframe of virtual test for strength of ship structure was designed, and the virtual test system for strength of ship structure was developed based on Dynamic Link Library (DLL);4)the result of virtual ship test and real ship test were compared by taking some ship as the example; The feasibility and the accuracy Of Virtual test system was proved.
