There are more than 460 passenger ropeways in our country. They add up to 400 kilometers. All companies regard the cableway safe as the focus of the work and they also do a lot of explore. They play a positive role in device management. In addition, advances in technology make ropeway equipment, man-machine interface more friendly, easier to operate and can provide some important parameters. However, we noted that all these tests are aimed at tes- ting the core component of rope, that rope, grip the detection and processing speed reducer, which belong to the equipment after the maintenance mana- gement and preventive maintenance management, and that takes the a kind of"prevention first","preventive measures"measures. If we only measure his speed and length of steel wire rope, the information of cars and tourists are still provided. Data do not provide useful information on the rescue.The system proposed is just for the rope travel measurement purpose. The system adopts W77E58 as the keel,including the data measuring compon- ent,the data storing component, the clock chip component, the LCD display component,the data communication component, the system supervising com -ponent,and so on. The action of the steel wire rope is detected by a proxim- ity switch, and is put into W77E58 in the form of pulse signals. According to the number of the pulses, the rope travel can be calculated. Meanwhile,the related data is stored in the FM24C04.The change of leakage magnetic field can be converted into potential changes through the magnetic field compon- ents,and according to this potential change in the situation determine broken wire.The LCD LCM240128ZK is used for display the system time and the rope travel,etc. In order to improve the system anti-interference ability, the system supervising chip X5045 is used,which has such functions as the system reset,the low voltage examination and watchdog. PCF8563 provides not only the real-time system clock and calendar,but also the is timing interruption signal that resets the watchdog timer. The data of the measure- ment is transferred to the PC by the way of serial communication for the con-venience of the data saving and query.Meanwhile,the cabin lift positioning and the wire rope positioning are included. Through the collaborating operations of the related buttons the position and calibration of the cabin lift and the wire rope can be achieved,which is useful for the maintenance of the ropeway equipments.
