In this paper, we designed a hardware circuitry of wind lidar echo processing system, discussed the noise type and the mathematical model of the echo.Based on the spectral estimation of the echo signal,we studied a lidar echo detection algorithm in a very low SNR conditions.After that,we completed the engineering realizition of the algorithm based on the hardware platform we designed. We completed the following works:1. It is briefly described the basic theory and the working principle of the pulse laser doppler radar here,and established the mathematical models of the transmit signals and the echo,deeply studied the statistical properties of the echo signal and the noise. Proposed a effective weak signal detection algorithm and made a algorithm prove and simulation.2. Designed a high-speed data acquisition and processing hardware circuitry based on FPGA. The data sampling rates of this circuitry can up to 300MSPS, it uses USB2.0 interface to communicate with the PC. We programed the signal processing algorithms based on the hardware with VHDL language,designed a display and control interface of the wind lidar echo processing system in PC used VB soft.3. We made a number of experiments in this system, proved that when in a low SNR conditions.this platform can efficiently work.
