Design And Realization Of The Hotel Management System Based On B/S Framework

Currently, most of the Computerized Management System used in medium and small size hotel in China is based on C/S Framework which requires specified software and operation system for both client and server end, finally leads to the result of high maintenance cost and difficult upgrading. After fully investigation and analysis, the author of this paper develops a set of Hotel Management System based on B/S Framework, through integrated development environment of Vistual Studio.NET 2005 and database of SQL Server 2005. This system keeps the general three-tier framework, i.e. data tier - business tier - presentation tier. During the development of presentation tier UI, the basic thought of MVC software framework is adopted. In the fore presentation stage, the JavaScript framework(Jquery) has been applied locally in order to increase the friendly user interface and facilitate UI development. All these framework and technique have ensured the smooth development and application of the system. During the development, the system is developed by waterfall process mode since we have the foundation of the original and widely used C/S framework Hotel Management System.The Main content of this paper is to design and test Hotel Management System for medium and small size hotel. Using computer by the hotel which manages with the passenger information, room information, hotel operations and systematic management(The hotel's own financial and human resource management is not covered in this paper) , and using the B / S structure of the development model, which has a certain practicality, security, stability and flexibility, which making the true of achieving concentration of management, rapid response, to improve economic efficiency, operation and management costs. In the current the hotel management software which for large hotels is generally developed for much cost, complex system, what is not suitable to use by small and some new multi-functional features of the hotels. It is particularly important to develop a widely applicable to the management for them. Combining the development of integrated computer and Internet technology, the management system needs to develop hotels management system, which is not only can make the management more efficient, but also to improve their economic efficiency, and share the resource. "Hotel Management System" is developed for the above requirements. The system is a comprehensive, and with highly integrated module, which is full-featured, stable, and simple to operate, which is to solve the generally unfamiliar problems by the users, and also improve the efficiency of hotel management.According to the current network condition, we hope in the near future that our system will be able to obtain more public information through more cloud server. Even we also have the plan to use the clients'information to build our cloud server. Based on the shared information, we hope to better provide the medium and small size hotel with more Value-added Service and business opportunities.
