With the development of science and technology, the electronic measurement techniques have become more important increasingly. The testing objects are more and more complex and the testing parameters are more and more various. Frequently, an integrated system includes several or even dozens of measuring instruments, and the instruments may be distributed in different locations. Consequently, a control management system is needed urgently to control multiple instruments remotely. A management system that can control several intelligent instruments is proposed in this dissertation.This system consists of control computer, switcher, signal analyzer, network analyzer, and digital oscilloscope. The system function consists of remote control, self-checking, dynamic monitoring, data acquisition, and data processing. The users can remotely operate multiple instruments at the same time via this system.The main work of this dissertation is listed as follow:Firstly, the development of intelligent instruments is introduced. Secondly, the knowledge about SCPI commands and VISA library are introduced, which will be used in communication between computer and intelligent instruments. Thirdly, the design of intelligent instruments remote control and management system is proposed both from hardware and software. In hardware, the device of system is connected to an internal LAN; in software, system is consisted of five modules:the remote control module, instrument self-checking module, the dynamic monitoring module, data acquisition module, data processing module. Finally, the implementation of the five system module is realized, from design concept to the concrete implementation.
