In all fields of industry production and technology research, we frequently utilize the powerful processing function of general PC or industrial controlling PC to replace some parts of traditional instruments. People developed measure instrument based on PC, which is called Intelligent Instruments. The old Smart Instrument usually exchange data with PC by ISA or PCI interface slots (internal cards). However Internal cards can be easily influenced by high frequency interference within PC mainframe, resulting in reduction of collection precision and system unreliable. Furthermore, the numbers of slots in the mainframe are limited. With the increase of various peripheral equipment, people must work out an up to date, higher data transfer rate, external stand alone interface standard. It is the naissance of USB that can meet the most requirements of the old instruments, it has become a highlighted point among bus standards.This thesis introduces a new data acquisition system based on USB interface. The main points are as followed:a. Working principle and process of this system.b. Forward analog signals regulate circuit.c. Analog-to-digital signals conversion technology.d. USB interface technology.e. WDM device driver.f. Application of this system.g. Debugging result.
