ABSTRACT:The Cognitive Network's appearance has solved the problem of the mismatch between the current network services and the user's demand, however, there is not a simulation platform to simulate the Cognitive Network environment and assess the performance of the Cognitive Network. So this paper will design and build a Cognitive Network simulation demonstration platform with the ability of the parameters like learning independently, dynamic adaptive and reconfigure that based on the research of the National 863 plan "Cognitive Network QoS technology in the behavior model of the Cognitive Network". And show the of the parameters like new algorithm, the new strategy of load balancing and QoS classification and consultation and multipath routing resource using, etc, in the cognitive network so that to reflect the "cognitive" characteristic in Cognitive Network, comparison the throughput rate and pocket loss rate and time-delay with the current network to show the superiority of the cognitive network on the whole side as well.In this paper firstly analyzes the background and the necessity of the Cognitive Network simulation demonstration platform's development, and proposes the content of this research. Then summarize the method of the design and development in the common simulation platforms currently, inductive the problems in these design of these platforms. On the basis of this study, design the Cognitive Network simulation demonstration platform, and description the design method and the simulation's process of the each module in this platform detailed, then describe the function of the platform, simulate and demo the platform. Summary and make conclusion for this paper at last, and talk about the deficiencies in this paper and the plan in the further research.
