Design And Implementation Of Push Platform Based On Android System

Android is an operating system based on linux kernel, which is released by Google in November 5,2007. Early developed by Google, then it's developed by the Open Handset Alliance. Divided into three parts, the system adopts a stack layer structure. The underlying linux kernel only provides the basic function. Writed in java, most of the application is developed by companies themselves.Push technology is a client server based mechanism, which means the server send the information to the clinet initiatively. Compared with the traditional pull technology, the main difference between them is that the former sends the message by server initiatively, while the latter receive the message from server passively.Compared with the traditional push platform, a push engine module is added to the platform in this thesis. It's used to distinguish and manage the push applications, mainly music, video, news apps. In addition, according to the actual project needs, we also increased the number of individual channels, making the user find the news they are interested individuality. Besides, a starting checking link is added in the software terminal to check the push engine enter the actual time or the fixed time push mode, because different push mode needs different network connecting mode. In this thesis, a hybrid heart beating mode is designed based on user needs, network connecting time and network flow will be reduced in the precondition that news can be pushed to users timely.In order to display the push contents better, we developed the new activex based on the original android appwidget. Besides, base station location feature is added to the push platform to meet the demand of actual project. Single station and multiple stations are realized at last.
