Design And Implementation Of Desktop Direct Terminal System

All the enterprises which have gone to information times are developing their IT build rapidly and the competitiveness of the enterprises'business have promoted greatly.However, as a result of that the IT environment is going from strength to strength and the number of enterprises'PC is increasing greatly, the enterprise-level desktop management becomes a hard question which may become even more violent. The emergence of VDI which uses virtual machine technique to put the desktop mirroring in the data center reverses this tide.Desktop Direct which is a SSL VPN telnet product developed by Array Networks can make the user get access to the desktop of their company PC safely whenever and wherever possible.The terminal system which is mixed by Desktop Direct and VDI will make the user get access to virtual desktop and the desktop of their company safely at the same time.WebUI module and LDAP module are the difficult point and key point of the terminal system.The thesis will introduce the whole system and state the process of the design and implementation of the two modules simultaneously.The work that have been done by author include:(1)Design the architecture and workflow of the system which is the combination of Desktop Direct and VMview VDI.(2)Finish the WebUI module's design and development work which includes:the design of the user interface, the application of object-oriented thought, the make of custom components, manipulating database with PHP and so on.With the WebUI module, the system can be deployed more quickly by the administrator.(3)Finsh the LDAP module's design and development work which includes:the design of the database and LDAP directory tree, the application of OpenLDAP, LDAP socket programme and so on. With the LDAP module, the user can get and select the virtual desktop list which is authorized by VDI.Through checking and accepting the item which the thesis based on, WebUI module and LDAP module designed in this paper are proved to satisfy the clients' requirements and run normally.There's no doubt that the fusion of the Desktop Direct and VDI will increase Array Networks Desktop Direct's market competition greatly.
