The Study On Misunderstanding In International News Report

Misunderstanding of the text is refected in a distortian or misinterpretation of the object,which is attenden phenomenon in communication.As long as the spread of activities, there must be misunderstanding in receptors understanding towards communicators'intention.Misunderstanding has become an issue of univeral concern in international communication.Meanwhile, the media,which is increasingly playing a vital role in international communication,due to cultural,national interests,ideology and other factors,unintentionally or intentionally misunderstand other country's national image in international news reports.It has brought negative consequences in international relations. Therefore, study on misunderstanding in international news report,especially western medium misunderstanding China's national image,not only will be great theretical significance ,but also positive and immediate significance .This thesis is divided into four parts:Part I:The outline of misunderstanding in international news report:defining the scope of the concept of international news report, summarizing the concept of misunderstanding ,expressing two ways of misunderstanding and specific forms of misunderstanding in international news report. This part presents object of study on this thesis.Part II:The analysis of misunderstanding in international news report having an impact on communication. This part applies to analyse its influence on receptors'cognition,attitude and action. It presents the issue that the thesis solves.Part III: Elaborating on the causes of misunderstanding in international news report by examining the following aspects: the media unintentional misunderstanding, the media intentional misunderstanding and the difference of journalism professional practice between China and West. And it combines with many causes of journalism misunderstanding to make a point and analyse. This part is a key of this thesis to analyse the issue the thesis prosed.Part IV: Putting forward some solutions to misunderstanding in international news report, based on argument of the second part and the third part. That it, improving cross-culture ability, improving communication with foreign countries, building the environment of harmonious international public opinion and establishing the flat form for China and foreign reporters communicating. They have positive and practical significance for improving our country international communication effect.
