The object of study in this paper is to apply image measuring technology to static measurement and dynamic estimation of deployable antenna, which can acquire coordinates of antenna model. The analyzing data can be used for making the deployable antenna to be reliably deployed and to maintain the shape surface accuracy.First of all, In Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) environment, image measuring technology is used in this paper. Direct linear calibration and Zhang's calibration are adopted respectively for the camera calibration simulation experiment.Secondly, a static measurement for deployable antenna is taken. On the base of deployable antenna model and camera calibration results, parallel binocular stereo vision measurement technology is used. In VRML, the marked points are setted in the joints of the antenna, image is captured and the feature is extracted. Epipolar geometry constraint is used to realize matching and the third camera is adopted to reduce matching error in this paper. So we can achieve three-dimensional measurement of deployable antenna and make an analysis for measurement accuracy. Finally, it shows the dynamic estimation of deployable antenna. According to Extending Kalman filtering, the estimation and tracking of the Joints are valuable reference for motion measurement and analysis.A method to image measurement base on antenna design model by applying static measurement and dynamic estimation to the deployable antenna is studied in this paper, which has some referenced value for the measurments and analysis of the deployable antennas.
