Three-dimensional shape measurement of object surface has been a hot subject at home and abroad. The method has been improved to be faster, more accurate and lighter damage. With the rapid development of the computer hardware and video equipment, optical measurement technology is gradually replacing the traditional methods to be the most wildly used non-contact measurement. The paper do the research on both two important branches of optical measurement which are projection grating and profilometry.Base on phase-shifting technique, design a color fringe pattern which contains three encoded patterns in three channels. A color CCD camera is used to capture image of texture mapping. Three phase-shifting method can be achieved by one shot. The effect due to different responses of three channels is discussed by computer simulation experiment. Patterns of different channels are calibration by mean and fitting method. Model's 3-D shape is measured by experiment by color phase-shifting method, and the errors are also be discussed.A single camera stereo vision system is designed based on binoculars stereo model. Two planar mirrors with a certain angle are set in front of the CCD camera. The angle between the mirrors can be changed to adjust the field of the vision to observe the virtual image of the target in the two mirrors. With one shot, we can get two images which are equivalent to two images obtained by two virtual cameras, and then the stereo measurement can be achieved. The configuration and size of static object is measured by the propose method, It validate the system is feasible and reliable. A dynamic object was recorded as a video, we calculated the 2-D movement of object's two virtual image and rebuilt the movement in three-dimension. The mathematical model is built to calculate three-dimensional coordinate, and a real target is measured with the proposed method. Finally, the experimental errors are also discussed in detail.A system was designed to measuring the three-dimensional shape of object base on Matlab. Designed a visual interface with clear feature by GUI. CCD camera can be controlled by Matlab Image acquired Toolbox. The system's hardware and software can be interoperated.
