The development of bicycle simulator is remarkable in our country, most of the simulators are used for training or entertain indoors. With indoor bicycle simulator trainings can not be stopped for the bad weather or other reasons. But most of the simulators simulate the mechanical movement of the bicycle without the 3D scence corresponded. So indoor bicycle simulator is widely applied. The main task of this system is to study the 3d virtual scene simulation technology of bicycle simulator. It can be divided into two parts:One is the dectection of the states of the bicycle simulator, produced is made by MCU system, the other is the rendering system of the virtual scene, which is produced by PC system. The speed of the bicycle's back wheel is measured with Hall sensor. The speed of the bicycle is calculated according to the dimeter of the back wheel. The rotating angle of bicycle hands is measured with the Photoelectric shaft Angle encoder, by which the direction of the running bicycle is determined. By RS-232 serial communication interface the collected data can be sent to PC。The application method of the DirectX technology is studied in the video system of indoor bicycle simulator. Some related classes are set up on the basis of DirectX SDK framework, such as virtual Bike class of VB.NET code (Bike.vb). The DirectX technology is used to simulate the scene by PC in accordance with the trainers behavior (speed and direction)。Taking advantage of the 3D scene mesh model and virtual bike mesh model, the render observation transform and perspective transformation method are studied and determined.which can make trainers feel that they were in a real environment. And the visual scene simulation can be realized effectively.
