With the development of modern industrial technology, the production capacity of equipment has been improved, and its structure has become complex. How to protect equipment long-term, safety, and efficient operation is especially important. Therefore enterprises need reliable condition monitoring systems to ensure its production. The foreign condition monitoring companies have developed a lot of products based on its strong technology, which have been widely used in the petrochemical, steel and electric power industries.Although our country research started later in condition monitoring field, but also developed a number of condition monitoring system. These systems play an important role in promoting fault diagnosis technology and condition-based maintenance. However, from the point of system design and development, researchers think less about portability, expansibility and reusability because most of systems have been developed for specific equipment. These systems have a limited ability to meet requirements of the field. A large number of domain knowledge and design experiences are not fully accumulated. Other researchers and developers can get limited information from them. This dissertation is supported by a project of developing an on-line monitoring system, which based on an eight-channel data acquisition device. Software architecture of on-line monitoring system has been researched using domain specified software architecture (DSSA). A domain model of condition monitoring has been abstracted. A DSSA has been proposed for condition monitoring, which is described in detail using unified modeling language (UML). According to the architecture, a prototype system has been developed using C# language and Object-Oriented Technology based on Microsoft Visual Studio.Net 2005 and SQL Server 2000. A test environment has been established on QPZZ-II rotating machinery fault simulation bed. Experiments proved that the software architecture meet requirements of condition monitoring field and realize software reuse at architecture level, which is an abstraction of DSSA. The technique developed may be used for other researchers.
