With the rapidly development of modern society,the task that people ask for functional testing of the PCB board is no longer satisfied with sharp eyes and keen Notes from the traditional. However, their equipment is huge size and inconvenience to operate. With the development of computer technology, PC-machine as the core and a number of general-purpose equipment complete testing of common tasks of virtual instrument technology have emerged. Through the method using of computer software alternative to hardware greatly reduces the hardware inputs. So it has to solve the inadequate of automatic test equipment GPIB bus-based, for today's testing industry, the mainstream development. For the developments and status of PCB board on functional test technology at home and abroad, this paper presents a PCB board level functional test systems USB-based. Its system is performance and stability, high efficiency, versatility, users simply to understand the basic principles of the circuit under test, you can through the use of a number of simple test commands, test commands quite easily create the table. USB and virtual instruments in support of the completion of testing task.In this paper, firstly, it analysis of the main features of automated test system and described the study of this subject and historical context for PCB board functional test technology research status at home and abroad.Secondly, in analyzing the current needs of PCB board functional test, based on the functional test system design of a detailed plan, proposed block PCB functional test system architecture model and, based on the model explicitly put forward the realization method of the PCB functional test system.
