Distance education has become an important supplement and development in traditional education. Virtual laboratory plays a very important role in distance education. It not only can solve that the big number of people and education fund shortage have brought about lack of experimental sites and experimental equipment, but also makes experimenter can carry on experiment anywhere and anytime, and profoundly understand experimental principle, improve the hands-on skills. Virtual scene modeling is the premise and basis of building virtual laboratory. At present, we can use geometric modeling, motion modeling, physical modeling and behavior modeling.Flame simulation is an important scene in constructing virtual laboratory. In this paper we use particle system to simulate the flame. Particle system method is based on the physical model, it can simulate natural scene randomly and vividly. Particle system fully reflects dynamic randomness of fuzzy objects, and can well simulate fire, cloud, smoke and other natural scene. Therefore it is recognized as the most successful method to simulation irregular fuzzy object. In this paper, based on the analysis of the flame life model, we get the appearance attribute of fire particles; at the same time, through the analysis of the flame, we abstract the movement rule of flame particle, and quantitatively describe the properties of flame particles; rendering flame with texture mapping and billboard behavior. In this, we also propose the flame particle temperature, it is an important property of the whole flame life, and will affect the flame generation, movement and die. This paper also puts forward the fuel particles modeling. We also model the static scene and dynamic scene of robots fire-extinguishing virtual experimental scene, and briefly describe the scene in control.
