Chinese higher education has entered a phase of Popularization, The number of students is increasing sharply and campus has been expanding, which is showing a diverse students needs, individual and complex features. The majority of higher learning management software has been based solely on educational administration, few other features. Under this situation, the senate department of East China Normal University launched a project on "student self-management mode in college."In order to complete this research, this paper design and implement a dedicated student self-management system, with online real-time recording function of the performance situation. Administrators can add and edit the record indicators, view the results of students'record. Students can register, modify personal information, generate personalized log, submit records of options. The system is simple and easy to maintain, and can be widely used in the University student self-management. Meanwhile, the system also provides statistical analysis of recorded data functions, which can reflect the results recorded by the students quickly and objectively. This paper firstly refers to the impact of constructivist and evaluation theory to student management, and then based on the characteristics of student self management to construct system model. Through needs analysis, using B/S mode system architecture, develop various functional modules of the system design, and with the help of Visual Studio 2005 development environment. NET platform, using C # language, ASP.NET technology and ADO.NET database technology, complete the main function of this system. The design and development of the Student self management system make full use of information technology, set up a platform to display of student personality and talent, and enable students to give full play to individual strengths, and promote students individual development.
