E-Learning as a new education mode appears with the improvement of information and web technology. E-Learning gets rid of limit of time and place which exists in traditional education. E-Learning creates a platform for teacher and student to communication, besides it has the all advantages of distance education. Although E-Learning has created the whole education process on web, some problems still have not been solved because of demand and technology. E-Learning can't create education process for all subjects like the subjects with lots of experiments. Student can not finish their experiment subject on web.The paper will make a further improvement for the E-Learning system with virtual reality technology and make up for the defects that still exist in the E-Learning system.Virtual reality (VR) technology as human-machine interface technology is combination of computer graphics, digital image processing, and network and multimedia technologies. VR can simulate a real experimental environment which can meet the demand of autonomy study and collaborative study. In additional it can max the learning efficiency and learning initiative and reach the purpose of research teaching. In this paper the experimental apparatus which will be used to realize the interactive features in virtual scene are created by the combination of three-dimensional graphics technology and 3DMax.The interactive function of virtual experiment influences directly teaching quality and studying interesting. A good interactive will not only make student finish their experiment independently, but also inspire the creativity of student. Java3D as a kind of virtual reality modeling language has a powerful three-dimensional graphics library. Java3D can create interactive function and implement animation capabilities of three-dimensional mode with internal node objects. With the great advantage of Java the virtual experimental scene established by java3D can display web easily without stalling extra plug-ins and meet the requirement of cross-platform.E-Learning system with virtual experiment established by virtual reality technology increases its function in experiment. Student can learn experimental subjects in E-Learning system at their free time and place. The experimental function in E-Learning system is implemented mainly from two aspects of teacher and student, which including module functions:teacher manages course information, teacher publishes the requirement of curriculum, student finishes experiment, submits experiment report and discusses relate knowledge and so on. E-Learning system achieves education objective through the basic education process.
