As China's railway communications technology continues to evolve, GSM-R (GSM for Railway) as a separate application to meet the railway developed digital wireless communication systems, rail transport has to adapt to the characteristics and advantages of mature technology, in line with communications, signal integrated technology development.Since 2008, Lanzhou, a hub of intense investigation into the design stage, after several field tests, program revision, expert discussions, and ultimately determine the use of hubs in Lanzhou to GSM-R based communication technology programs. For technical and economic considerations, this design only for the new Northern Link and the east of Lanzhou, Lanzhou West Design GSM-R system.This research hub for GSM-R project in Lanzhou, combined with GSM-R design specifications, and the Qinghai-Tibet line, Datong-Qinhuangdao line GSM-R lines, and corresponding engineering experience, research designs. Solve the complex terrain conditions, how to make coverage standard; solve the distribution hub of the base station frequency; resolved within the hub of the problem how to solve the weak field; and GSM network optimization methods combined, a set of GSM-R design reference network optimization program.Lanzhou Railway Bureau, the project is the first GSM-R project, changed the Lanzhou Railway Bureau of 450MHz Wireless Train the traditional way of the command structure of the new private rail transport integrated mobile communication system for railway information provided valuable experience in reforms.
