Design And Application Of Monitoring System In Machine Room Based On ARM9 & Embedded VxWorks

With the up-to-dateness of manufacture improving, all sorts of equipments for gathering and monitoring appeared in different industries; most of the former products are implemented by SCM, which leads to simple functionality, and it's very difficult to implement as we have to program for each specific application. With the rapid developing of the internet and embedded techonology, a new remote monitoring system based on the embedded technology is stepping into the main stream of the development of monitoring.This project analyzed the limitation of the current monitoring system in machine room based on the requirements, and developed a professional monitoring main frame with high comprehensive functionality. The monitoring system adopted ARM9 KS8695X as its main controller to construct a hardware platform, on which we planted the supporting for wide protocol and the real-time embedded operating system VxWorks. This system will deal with the physical quantity gathered from the front-end transducer, and control the related intelligent equipment. Meanwhile, according to the presets, it will judge and determine whether to alarm or not. With functionalities of providing several ways of alarming, recording warning message, the aim of unmanned remote monitoring can be easily achieved. This system, with features of high efficiency, low power consumption, high specialization, low cost, and reliable real-time, will respond to the exception of the object under monitoring, and alarm immediately. To meet the market demand, we can apply to many monitoring area by changing the terminal software and hardware a little, such as the storage, environment-detecting and unmanned remote-measuring for machine room, base station, drug and food.
