The pressure of the enterprises directly compels the efficiency of work become the key of survival, which means the traditional work form has become the obstacle of company development. On the other hand, because of the proliferation of the international high way, workflow technology has turned to be the essential methodology for intellectual electronic office system to enhance the productivity of work.Nowadays, workflow technology has been implemented in tons of enterprises and organizations within 20 years development as an effective method for company management with huge potentials. Workflow is a kind of model that reflects the true world application for assembling management and automatic process execution in an advanced computer environment. Whereas Workflow management system supports the enterprises to operate the procedure execution in efficiency way and monitor the performance of the production line as a whole, including procedure definition tool, engine, client platform and management platform. Definition tool caters for procedure definition and verification of the accuracy. As a result, the accuracy certification is the crucial point in this area, which means only if make sure the verification work, the possibility of efficiency improvement and cost declining can be carried out.In order to solve the verification problem, this essay analyzes and summaries the research and study in this field. Workflow verification focus on three parts including the grammar verification, structure verification and semantic verification, within which, the grammar and semantic verification is comparably easy than the structure part. So this essay makes study in the area of structure verification which is used to catch the mistake and problem in the process structure and determines whether the definition can be executed fluently. In this article, relative conceptions and a kind of structure verification method based on activity information transmission have been offered, which defines the way of activity information and verification rule. Besides that, this work also analyzes and verifies the confliction of structure, such as the dead lock, multiple instance, live lock. Based on which, the algorithm description is provided. Compared with other available methods, the verification algorithm in this essay is proved to be better in classical workflow structure problems. Based on the XPDL standard of WFMC, a wonderful workflow definition tool WFDT is designed and developed in this essay, implemented in MVC model and providing a user-friend interface. User can define the process on their own view by move the simple graph, and simulate the application flow in this WFDT, which makes sure the process definition to be correct and efficient. At last this essay proves its significance by examples.
