Navigation Chart Course Plotter System(NCCPS) is one of the important ancillary equipment of ship navigation system. It can plot the ship's real-time track on paper charts, at the same time it display the ship's position, speed, heading and other information on the screen. With the development of Electronic technology and computer technology, ECDIS gradually began to occupy a dominant position in the ship tracks plotted applications. However, NCCPS continues to play an important role in military vessels navigation when the ships sailing in waters covered by non-electronic ECDIS.With the development of embedded technology, information-processing device of The existing NCCPS is beginning to shows some shortcomings and limitations. Looking forward to smaller size, lower power consumption, reduce costs. ARM (Advanced RISC Machines) company's 32-bit RISC processor, with its high-speed, low power, low cost, unique 16/32 bit dual instruction set, and many other excellent performance, has become the first choice processor for embedded solutions.NCCPS mainly consists of two parts, information processing device and electrical machinery installations. Information processing device is the key that NCCPS to achieve automation and intelligent. The main purpose of this topic is to design ARM-based information processing device of NCCPS, This paper introduces the track plotted technology development status and the research background and significance of the subject. Then discusses the composition of NCCPS and working principle of the system, as well as the functional requirements of information processing devices, according to the related concept of embedded real-time system, select software and hardware platform for information processing device . Then details of the hardware circuit, these mainly include: power supply module, communication interface module, NorFlash memory modules and other modules. And then describe S3C2410A core hardware BSP construction and implementation of the interface driver. Finally discusse application program of information processing device.
