In the enterprise information system, heterogeneous, autonomous and distribution of the system running environment have become increasingly prominent. The demand becomes more urgent to improve the overall processing speed of these systems by paralleling and distributed. Therefore, the focus of the system development has been transferred from optimization of the local algorithms and data structures to optimization of overall system architecture. To ensure the success of such an information system, a good architecture of software is essential. In the SoftProLine software production platform for the e-government domain, the workflow service system is the core infrastructure component. But the workflow service system can not meet users'demands when it faces to complex business logic and large data. The reason is that the workflow service system adopts the architecture of single centralized engine. The paper researches into the workflow service system combing multi-agent theory. The study is aimed at improving the system performance. The specific contents are as follows:Firstly, the paper proposes the method of multi-collaborative workflow engines for enhancing business processing abilities. So represent engine, application engine and business engine are designed through analyzing business processes of e-government domain. The collaboration of three core domains workflow engines resolves the problems of slow processing speed and small throughput when dealing with complex workflow processes.Secondly, the paper uses software bus technology to integrate multi workflow engine and process controller. This approach can reduce the coupling and the interactive complexity of various components. These functional components are integrated into the workflow implementation service system through providing a unified interface with the software bus. Lastly, during the development process, the paper adopts open J2EE platform, EJB3.0 technology and related industry standards. In addition, through regarding standard XML language as data carrier, data transmission problems of the different workflow engines are achieved.
