The display and control platform under the background of Vector Buoy Array Positioning System is designed in this dissertation using the Visual C++ 6.0 kit, and is verified by the integral test of the whole system and the lake trial results.Vector Buoy Array Positioning System is made up of vector sensor buoy array, the integral display and control software and other assistant equipments, which is used to compute the target position where it drops into the water and locate the track of the target underwater. The system possesses the measure ability in both passive noise mode and pulse detection mode. As the computing and control center of the whole positioning system, the display and control platform plays a roll in computing the target position and its track, displaying the target track , monitoring the whole system, transmitting commands and parameters, designing and optimizing buoy array lineup, processing the waveform data, and so on .According to the different functions of the system, the display and control software is programmed with modularized blocks for the convenience of development and maintenance. Every block is independent, and is called by the main control module. The bearings-only technique and time-delay measuring method which are the two key algorithms are presented in the dissertation. The precision analysis of the two algorithms in condition of different array lineup is showed to provide academic foundation for its engineering application. At last, the display and control software is validated to be applicable and stable by the experiment data processing and the integral test with peripheral equipments. Experimental results show that the display and control software implements the predefined locating function, and fulfills the engineering application requirements.
