Study On The Construction Of Eco - City By Pu'er City Government

With the rise of ecological civilization construction，eco-city construction havebegun to enter the agenda of governments at all levels. Each government in order toprotect the ecological environment, to create a social harmony and ecological city,with a good living environment, sustainable economic development. eco-city as animportant part of the national strategy, both trends in historical development, but alsoan inevitable requirement of human social development. Each local government hasresponds to the call, already have introduced measures and policies on eco-cityconstruction. Currently, the eco-city construction in China is still in its infancy, is stillbased on the successful experience of foreign-based, there is no better domesticconstruction cases. In this paper, I choose Pu’er City as a case which is located in thesouthwest border, weak economic foundation, but quite effective in the constructionof ecological city.First, the eco-city and the functions of government in eco-cities and urbanconstruction are analyzed, and then at the macro level and micro-level expand thediscussion on the topic. At the macro level,the layout of the national strategy ineco-city construction and eco-city construction plan of Pu’er City was introduced,then study the background of Pu’er municipal eco-city construction. At the micro level,Identify ecological city construction initiatives and problems encountered of Pu’er，then discuss these issues in depth and Put forward reasonable suggestions. This paperstudies the local government ’s functions in the eco-city construction，with thetheoretical guidance of a number of disciplines, with field research, case comparison,literature retrieval methods.
