| The application of brass instruments represented by the trumpet in classical style music plays a long history. However, the application of brass playing concepts and techniques did not appear in the nearly four hundred years until the rise of jazz as the representative of popular music. So far, the concepts and techniques haven’t been learned by payers in paying classical music with brass instruments. However, these concepts and techniques are widely and deeply pay attention by the professional musicians.Through the study of theory and playing practice and teaching, I understand: the idea and technology requirements of brass instruments in playing pop music have never been less than in the playing in classical music. The technical application of brass instrument in playing pop music can be achieved by more precise, standardized, systematic training due to the characteristic of harmony, rhythm, orchestra organization, coupled with emerging technology, the extensive use of electronic equipment, in pop music.This thesis, based on the actual performance and teaching experience as the main research methods, from the trumpet’s(brass) playing consciousness and methods in playing classical and popular music and the angle of play is divided into 4 parts. The first part briefly discusses the long engaged performers in classical style who face pop music should have the concept of renewal and preparation in reading spectrum; the second part discusses the relationship and evolution of pronunciation and connection of the two basic playing techniques between classical and popular music styles in detail; the third part focuses on the formation and improvement of control ability about intonation and rhythm in playing; last part discusses the importance of the tutti consciousness training. |
