Besides,the two areas are adjacent to each other, and they always hold competitions and learn from each other.Through collecting the materials and researching, I made an analysis to the band formation, characteristics,and status quos ect, and made a summarization of the artistic features and significance of the Xiping bronzebrass to let us know more about it and pay more attention to the folk art on its extinction.This paper first take a basic survey to the Xiping bronze peripheral environment from several aspects asdevelopment environment,origin and history of he Xiping bronze. Secondly, give the basic introduction ofinstruments, band formation, clothing props, songs, performance times and forms of the Large Bronze Brassand the analysis and discussion of music elements and performance characters in terms of the music score ofthe Large Bronze Brass. At last analyse the development of the Large Bronze Brass and the difficulty of theinheritance at presentn in detail. Moreover, it also consists of the corresponding protection measuresaccording to the relevant policies and the local economic and cultural conditions. With the rising of the National non-material cultural protection, the Large Bronze Brass that was nearlyforgotten draws attention by modern people again. The Xiping government also takes some correspondingmeasures. However, the protection is far from enough. The art must be adapted to the trend of the times tosurvive. How to realize the goal still demands out exploration.
