As the corporation and exchange between China and Bangladesh becomes more and more frequent and the number of Bangladesh people who are studying Chinese is increasing, as a result, the need of Chinese teachers is also growing in Bangladesh. In that context, the author of this paper is so lucky to be a volunteer of Chinese teacher and has taught Chinese at the Confucius Institute at North and South University of Bangladesh for one year. It is found in the process of teaching Chinese that there exist some big problems of Chinese pronunciation on the Bangladesh students, especially the problem of tone which may have a certain regularity. Why does exist such regularity and what are the reasons for the regularity of tone? With these doubts, the author has carried out some studies on the tone learning among the Chinese learners of Confucius Institute at North and South University of Bangladesh. According to the result of this study, the author of this paper found that, it’s very different from the traditional knowledge about the order of the tones complexity, the most difficult tone is the second tone for Bangladeshi students, and the third tone is more easier for them than other countries’ students. In addition, the author also investigates the types of the errors in tone’s pronunciation, try to make analysis on the reasons for that from the perspective of negative transfer, the students and teachers respectively for the errors in tone’s pronunciation and then proposes some suggestion on how to improve the quality of tone teaching according to my teaching experience. The author hopes that all these suggestions can bring some help to the tone teaching in the process of practice.
