Funny, Do Not Have Timeless

Xu Zhuodai is not only a famous writer or director, but also established a film company.This paper focuses on researching the comedy films made by Xu Zhuodai and explores the contributions of his films to the filmmaking of China in the earlier year through adopting critical thinking and reviewing historical documents.This paper first sets the job position changes of Xu Zhuodai, analyzes the changing goal of his establishment of Kaixin Film Company and causes to failure of the Company through looking back on the establishment and operation process of the Company, discusses the success and failure. Moreover, this paper explores and concludes the attitude of Xu in making his comedy films through reviewing a book named Film Studies translated by Xu and discussed the creation concept of Xu in making his comedy films and his contribution to the innovation in comedy films in the earlier year. In the end, this paper starts from analyzing the features of Xu’s scripts and makes comparison of his comedy films and others’ comedy films of the same kind.
