In recent years, test anxiety has become a hot issue of educators and psychologists. Psychologists says, moderate anxiety has a positive effect, but excessive test anxiety will not only reduce the students’ learning efficiency, but also cause a disordered play. Serious test anxiety for a long time is bad for students’physical and mental health development. So it is particularly important to intervene and counsel those junior middle school students who are in serious test anxiety in time. Therefore this study use Sarason’s Test Anxiety Scale (the Test Anxiety Scale, TAS) to investigate two junior middle schools in Yangzhou city, cluster random sampling 642 students(Grade One 228 students, Grade Two 219 students and Grade Three 195 students), in order to know the current level of junior middle school students text anxiety. According to the results of the survey were 207 junior high school students have serious test anxiety, among 207 students,15 of them were randomly divided into three groups by the Standford Group Hypnotic Susceptibility Scale (SGHSS), relaxation training group and the control group for the hypnosis group (matching the gender and the grade) so as to study hypnosis therapy for serious test anxiety intervention effect of junior middle school students. The conclusion is as follows:(1) The number of secondary students with serious test anxiety was 207 in the 642 samples, accounted for 32.2%, while moderate anxiety 292, accounted for 45.5%and mild anxiety 143,22.3%.(2) Analysis of the survey results show that junior high school students in different gender, residence, only child condition have no significant differences in the level of test anxiety; in different grade, grade levels, cultural degree of parents, the junior middle school students’test anxiety level exist in significant difference.(3) The text anxiety was positively correlated to students in different grade test anxiety, and was negatively correlated to the degree of family education satisfaction, grades and the parents’education level.(4)Before the treatment, the level of test anxiety between hypnosis therapy group and relaxation group has significant differences. Compared with the relaxation group, hypnosis group the anxiety level had significant difference, their anxiety level is lower. Both treatments can reduce test anxiety levels, but hypnosis is more effective than relaxation training.(5)Hypnotic therapy on relieving test anxiety was more effective than that of the relaxation in the long run.
