The examination anxiety still exists widely in exam oriented education as a kind of negative emotion that seriously affects the development of the adolescents' mental health. This research is based on the "rational emotional therapy" proposed by Alice. And the intervention program was designed on other researches' regiment scheme both in China and world. My research focus on the intervention study of the senior sophomores' examination anxiety. This research includes two parts: the first part is the investigation and analysis focused on the examination anxiety characteristics of the senior sophomores using the TAS scale;the second part is the implementation of the intervention program.I selected ten students who have the severe examination anxiety as the experimental group. And I also selected ten students randomly as the control group. Then the intervention program was used to intervene in the experimental group.I collected the TAS data before and after the experiment of two groups. The feedback data of the intervention group was also collected. Finally, the effect of group intervention was tested through the qualitative and quantitative analysis. The main results of this research are as follows:(1)The examination anxiety is a very prominent problem, and 325 people feel anxious, that is,60.2% of students are troubled by this problem.(2)The difference of examination anxiety level on the demographic variables shows that there are no differences in one or more children type, arts and science division or the birthplace, but there are significant differences in gender differences.(3)The degree of test anxiety in the intervention group decreased from severe to middle level after the intervention.Meanwhile, there was no significant difference of the examination anxiety in the control group.(4)There were significant differences in the levels of examination anxiety between the two groups after the intervention. The main conclusions of this research are as follows:(1)The senior sophomores' examination anxiety is very severe. The difference test on demographic variables shows that there are significant differences in gender and liberal arts division while there are no significant differences in other dimensions.(2)The group intervention program adopted in this study can effectively reducethe level of test anxiety. The level of test anxiety in the intervention group decreased from severe to moderate, and there was no significant difference in the level of anxiety before and after intervention in the control group,so the intervention effect was very obvious.(3)The intervention activities and scheme design are relatively reasonable, and the participation degree of activities is very high.
