In recent years, the inheritance and protection of intangible cultural heritage has attracted more and more attention in different subjects and fields. A lot of non-material cultural factors was involved inevitably in the field of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, and has attracted more and more attention and research interest of people. From the view of the non-material cultural factors in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, this thesis classified the non-material cultural factors involved in the "Developing Chinese Elementary Comprehensive Course" and analyzed it from two aspects including the selection and arrangement of the content. The thesis studied the application of non-material cultural factors in teaching materials and the teaching strategies, and explored how to make use of the non-material cultural factors in teaching materials better. The non-material cultural factors has its unique charm and the thesis is about to make it functioned well in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.This thesis is divided into six chapters, and it is divided into three parts. The first part is the introduction, it illustrates the topics what we are going to talk about, and introduces the research origin and significance of the topic. It concluded and summarized the predecessors’research of the "Developing Chinese" series of textbook and the study of the cultural factor and non-material cultural factors in teaching Chinese as a foreign language as well as the intangible cultural heritage research. The second part is the main body, including the second, third, fourth and fifth chapters, this part discusses the main idea of the paper in details. The concept of non-material cultural factors were defined, and it makes statistics and analysis of non-material cultural factors in the "Developing Chinese Elementary Comprehensive Course" series of textbooks, and based on the textbook content of the compilation and selection, some immature proposals are given by the writer. The last part is the conclusion, the whole thesis is summarized, and pointed out the inadequacy of the paper and the possible improvement in the future. We hope that readers could have a general understanding of non-material cultural factors in teaching Chinese as a foreign language through this article.Due to objective reasons, the writer lack of rich teaching experience. In order to make the research more in-depth, detailed and comprehensive, and to make the results of research more objective and reliable, the interview method used in the study. This thesis interviewed teachers and students who have used these two textbooks before, to understand the actual situation, and to listen to their opinions and suggestions of the sample teaching materials. The writer hope that this thesis could provide a new research perspective for the study of teaching materials, and to provide the personal view for the application of non-material cultural factors in teaching Chinese as a foreign language and to make a contribution to Chinese language teaching career and the cross culture communication.
